The most dangerous computer virus ever: the story of the Zafi virus
The Zafi virus is one of the most dangerous computer viruses of all time. It was first discovered in 2004, and since then it has caused millions of dollars in damage to computers around the world.
The Zafi virus is a so-called “Trojan horse” virus, which means that it disguises itself as a harmless program or file in order to trick you into installing it. Once it’s on your computer, it can do a lot of damage.
One of the most dangerous things about the Zafi virus is that it can spread very quickly. It does this by sending itself out in emails, and it can even infect other computers on your network.
The Zafi virus is also very difficult to remove. Even if you have a good antivirus program, it can be hard to get rid of the virus completely. And if you don’t remove it, it can cause serious damage to your computer.
In 2004, the Zafi virus caused more than $10 million in damage to computers around the world. And it’s still causing problems today. So if you get an email with an attachment from a friend or family member, be very careful before you open it. It could be the Zafi virus..Click here for more
The most dangerous computer virus ever: the story of the MyDoom virus
In February 2004, a new computer virus began making its way around the world, and within weeks, it had become the most widespread virus in history. The MyDoom virus caused billions of dollars in damage and brought businesses and governments to their knees.
The MyDoom virus was first discovered on January 26, 2004, by a security company in the United Kingdom. The virus was circulating in e-mail attachments and was disguised as a message from a known contact. The message appeared to be innocent, with the subject line “hi” and the body of the message containing only a link.
However, when the recipient opened the attachment, the virus would install itself on their computer. From there, the virus would spread to the victim’s address book and begin sending out more e-mails with the same attachment.
The MyDoom virus was written in such a way that it was able to take advantage of a security flaw in Microsoft’s Windows operating system. This allowed the virus to spread quickly and easily.
Within days of the virus being discovered, it was responsible for more than half of all e-mails being sent around the world. The MyDoom virus caused so much damage that it was dubbed the “Worst Virus of All Time” by PC Magazine.
The virus was programmed to launch a “distributed denial of service” (DDoS) attack against the website of the SCO Group, a software company that was involved in a legal dispute with the Linux operating system. The attack took place on February 12, 2004, and lasted for more than two weeks.
The MyDoom virus also included a “backdoor” that allowed the creator of the virus to gain remote access to the computers that were infected. This allowed the creator to steal sensitive information, such as credit card numbers and passwords.
The MyDoom virus was eventually stopped by a global effort to create a “vaccine” that would protect computers from the virus. However, the damage had already been done. The MyDoom virus is estimated to have caused billions of dollars in damage and it is still considered to be the most dangerous computer virus of all time.
