The most dangerous computer virus ever: the story of theConficker virus
The Conficker worm (also known as Downup, Downadup, and Kido) is a computer worm that targets the Microsoft Windows operating system. It was first discovered in November 2008, and since then, it has infected millions of computers around the world, making it one of the most widespread computer viruses of all time.
The reason why the Conficker worm is so dangerous is because it can automatically spread itself to other computers on a network, without any user intervention. Additionally, the worm can disable security software and critical system components, making it difficult to remove.
While the Conficker worm is not technically a virus (it does not replicate itself), it is still considered to be very dangerous. There is no single “Conficker killer” that can remove the worm from an infected computer. Instead, it is necessary to use a number of different tools and techniques to clean up a system that has been infected.
The best way to protect yourself from the Conficker worm is to keep your computer’s software up to date. Microsoft released a security update in October 2008 that patched the vulnerability that the worm exploits. However, many people still have not installed this update, which leaves their computers vulnerable.
If your computer is already infected with the Conficker worm, there are a few things you can do to try and remove it. However, it is often difficult to completely remove the worm and most people end up reformatting their hard drives and reinstalling their operating system.

The most dangerous computer virus ever: the story of the SoBig virus
It all started in 2003. That’s when a computer virus known as “SoBig” began circulating on the internet. SoBig was unlike any other virus that had come before it. It was more sophisticated, more destructive, and more difficult to remove.
For months, SoBig wreaked havoc on computers around the world. It caused billions of dollars in damage and infected millions of computers. It even took down the White House’s email system.
SoBig was so destructive because it was able to spread quickly and easily. It was spread through email attachments and infected computers as soon as the attachment was opened. Once a computer was infected, SoBig would fill up the hard drive with useless data, making the computer unusable. It would also send out copies of itself to everyone in the victim’s address book, infecting even more computers.
The damage caused by SoBig was so extensive that the FBI launched an investigation to try and find the person responsible. They eventually tracked down the author of the virus, a man named Dread Pirate Roberts.
Roberts was arrested and charged with creating and distributing the SoBig virus. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
SoBig was the most dangerous virus of its time and remains one of the most destructive viruses ever created. It’s a reminder of the importance of having a good antivirus program installed on your computer.
